ZurückThe WEA Business Coalition appoints 16 National Coordinators
The World Evangelical Alliance is expanding in the field of economics
(Bonn, 11.07.2018) In June, after a lengthy application and nomination process, the Business Coalition of the World Evangelical Alliance appointed 16 National Coordinators from around the world to build bridges and create links to national associations and initiatives of Christian business leaders.
While in many countries the networking of Christian business people among themselves and with representatives of evangelical alliances and churches is just starting to take place, in Germany Ralf Juhre (51), who serves as a board member for âChristen in der Wirtschaftâ (Christians in the workplace), ambassador of the âKongress christlicher Führungskräfteâ (Congress of Christian Leaders) and General Manager of Ingenior GmbH, has been appointed as an insider as he knows the scene extremely well and is already well connected.
Juhre says that âin the face of the frequently observed phenomenon of Christian business networks as parachurch movements, the need for interlocking and bridging between businesses and churches is increasingly needed, even in post-modern and post-Christian timesâ.
According to Timo Plutschinski (42), the International Director of the WEA Business Coalition, âthe coalition serves as a global networking platform, initiator and innovator that makes national experiences internationally accessible and motivates both pastors and businessmen/entrepreneurs to work together for a common kingdom visionâ.
This will also be one of the key topics of the upcoming âCongress of Christian Leadersâ. The congress, which is being hosted by press agency âIdeaâ, will take place from 28.02. till 01.03.2019 in Karlsruhe, Germany. The theme of the closing day will be based on âBusiness as Missionâ and (young) entrepreneurs, who understand their business as their (spiritual) mission, will take part.
The WEA Business Coalition is part of the Department for Theological Concerns, which is headquartered in Bonn under the leadership of Bishop Thomas Schirrmacher.
